WEEKLY DISCUSSIONS & EDUCATION
Weekly g-body meetings allow members to discuss different topics in fintech and learn professional development. CFT's first semester taught how to ideate business ideas with 3 startup teams presenting and since then various educational topics are taught in subteam and g-body meetings.

CORPORATE SPEAKER EVENTS
CFT hosts various events each semester which include professional speaker events. Past events include a talk from Rob Krugman, the Chief Digital Officer of Broadridge, presentation on opportunities + money management from SoFi representatives. CFT also visited LSEG in Summer 2022 to hear from executives.

INVESTMENT & ANALYTICS PLATFORM
Throughout the Fall 2022 - Spring 2023 academic year, CFT members built projects as part of the investment team and engineering team. The engineering team was split into trading strategy, trading integration, and web development to build a platform to analyze investment info and factors.

CORNELL STOCK PITCH COMPETITION
Event in the works that aims to provide opportunities to network, learn investment principles, and overall develop professional skills. Students will work in teams to evaluate an investment and create a stock pitch that will be presented to judges. Stay tuned for more information on this event!

SOCIAL EVENTS
Cookies, dinners, slope picnics, house gatherings, post-work team hangouts, and more, CFT aims to build a strong, fun, and supportive culture! CFT isn't just a place to explore interests, build innovative projects, but also a community.

Every Semester

MULTI-PROJECT CROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS
Members will work in cross-functional teams as a product manager, technical product manager, financial software engineer, or business analysts. This expands the efforts CFT has made since its first semester in Spring 2022 and also represents CFT's vision to pursue being an official engineering project team.

DESIGN  & EVENTS COMMITTEES
Members can participate in internal activities to gain experience outside of subteam work besides being an executive member. Members of CFT can join one of two committees to help plan events + engage in business development or design marketing materials + create marketing campaigns.

CORNELL FINTECH CLUB AVALANCHE HACKATHON
CFT's 1st semester ended with a 3-day in-person hackathon for building on Avalanche in partnership with Ava Labs, Fintech at Cornell, and the Initiative for CryptoCurrencies and Contracts (IC3) with $10k+ worth of $$ prizes and swag
